Social Entrepreneurship Exchange Program Project Catalyst Indonesia PDF Print E-mail

The Public Affairs Section is pleased to announce a Public Affairs-Generated Exchange Program opportunity, “Social Entrepreneurship Exchange Program: Project Catalyst Indonesia.” Social entrepreneurship involves solving social problems with innovative solutions that are effective, efficient and sustainable. Social entrepreneurship is a venture that provides a product or service which adds social value to the community and is scalable throughout the country.

This program is supported bythe Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy Jakarta and implemented by the Jolkona Foundation. Jolkona is a US-based non-profit organization with experience in developing programs targeting youth social entrepreneurship as well as building and delivering web-based donation models (www.jolkona.org).

This program is an intensive two-week US-based training program for 4 (four) young Indonesian social entrepreneurs. In addition to the training program, the social entrepreneurs will get exposure to potential partners, investors, and funders.

Program Goals:

  • Develop general entrepreneurship skills around pitching, creating business plans, working with effective marketing campaigns, and team building
  • Expose the participants to interesting models of social entrepreneurship and social enterprise structures
  • Foster job creation in Indonesia and increase social entrepreneurship activities in Indonesia
  • Build people-to-people exchanges and partnerships
  • Transfer best practices
  • Showcase entrepreneurs to potential investors in United States and Indonesia
  • Highlight successful social enterprises to motivate more Indonesian youths
  • Enhance the understanding of American culture


The program’s specific goal is to provide young Indonesians with tangible skills and opportunities to establish and grow their social enterprises.

Program includes:

· Access to successful social entrepreneurs as one-on-one mentors

· Workshops on storytelling, mission finding, strategy and demand generation

· Tours of innovative nonprofits in the greater Seattle area

· Pitch meetings with investors and funders

· Networking events with key sector influencers

· Experience the scenic Pacific Northwest and homestay with local hosts

 

Candidates will be considered without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, or gender. If selected, all your expenses related to travel, lodging, and program fees will be covered by the program.Competition for Project Catalyst Indonesia is merit-based and open to founders of an active social enterprise who meet the following criteria:

 

  • A social entrepreneur who has spent 2-3 years building a small to medium size social venture (for-profit or non-profit) and has proven track record.
  • Committed to his/her venture and does not see it as a side business or a hobby.
  • Between the ages of 18 and 35 years old
  • Citizens of Indonesia
  • Currently living and working in Indonesia
  • Must be able to participate to the full program in from  Oct 27-Nov 7, 2014
  • Able to receive a U.S. J-1 visa (Individuals who have participated in an exchange visitor program sponsored or funded by the U.S. Government and who have not fulfilled their two-year home residency requirement by the time of application are not eligible for this program);
  • Proficient in spoken and written English at the time of application

Sosialisasi penulisan tesis diadakan pada tanggal 10 Juli 2014 di auditorium BRI gedung magister sains dan doctor FEB UGM. Pemaparan yang pertama disampaikan oleh Prof., Dr., Bambang Riyanto L.S., M.B.A., CMA tentang kerangka riset yang dimulai dengan adalah suatu masalah yang mendasari. Riset memerlukan penguasaan teori dan kajian terhadap penelitian terdahulu yang berkaitan dengan masalah riset yang ingin diteliti. Masalah riset akan menimbulkan pertanyaan yang kemudian akan melahirkan dugaan sementara dari peneliti. Riset merupakan usaha mengkonfirmasi dugaan sementara dengan yang terjadi di dunia nyata.

Nurdiono Raih Doktor Setelah Menganalisis Hasil Audit Laporan Keuangan Pemerintah Daerah Di Seluruh Indonesia PDF Print E-mail

Laporan keuangan pemerintah daerah (LPKD) yang memperoleh opini wajar tanpa pengecualian (WTP) sampai dengan akhir tahun 2011 masih relatif sedikit. Hal ini menjadi salah satu isu yang menarik untuk  diteliti. Ketepatan pengelolaan anggaran pemerintah daerah akan berdampak pada kualitas laporan keuangan yang dihasilkan. Demikian papar Nurdiono, Dosen Fakultas Ekonomika dan Bisnis Universitas Lampung dalam ujian promosi doktor di Fakultas Ekonomika Dan Bisnis Universitas Gadjah Mada Yogyakarta, Senin 23 Juni 2014, bertempat di Auditorium BRI lt. 3 Program Magister Sains dan Doktor Ilmu-Ilmu Ekonomi FEB UGM.  Lebih lanjut dkatakannya bahwa pengelolaan anggaran menjadi hal yang sangat penting mengingat anggaran menjabarkan rencana lengkap atas pendapatan dan pengeluaran organisasi agar pembelanjaan yang dilakukan  dapat dipertanggungjawabkan kepada publik.
